Solitary to scattered in soil under conifers (western hemlock, Sitka spruce); uncommon, fruiting from fall through mid-winter in the North Coast Ranges.
Unknown.
Ramaria gelatiniaurantia it can recognized by orange branches with orange tips, and gelatinous, marbled stipe context tissues. Ramaria flavigelatinosa, which may grow in the same habitat, differs in forming yellow branches with bright yellow tips. Ramaria sandracina var. chondrobasis has salmon-orange to orangish yellow branches with concolorous tips and can be distinguished from R. gelatiniaurantia primarily by the presence of clamp connections.
