Scattered to gregarious in forests of spruce (Piceae sitchensis) on the north coast; not common; fall.
Unknown.
Phaeocollybia lilacifolia can be distinguished by its medium to moderately large fruitbodies with viscid tawny to dark brown campanulate caps, lilac colored young gills, and robust stuffed drab to dull cinnamon colored stipes.
