Hypogeous under alder (Alnus rhombifolia), Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii), oaks (Quercus sp.), and incense cedar (Calocedrus decurrans) along stream banks from October to June.
Unknown. Too small and rare to be considered for culinary purposes.
Destuntzia saylorii is a rare fungus, known only from Sierra County and San Bernadino County.
