Clavulina rugosa
Krypt.-Fl. Schlesien 3.1(25–32): 442. 1888.
Common Name: none
Synonym: Clavaria rugosa Bull.
Scattered to gregarious in soil in woods. Not uncommon.
Unknown.
Clavulina rugosa can be distinguished by its creamy to pale greyish or ochraceous coloration, and thick, often rugose, branches with blunt tips. It is thought by some that Clavulina rugosa is merely a form of Clavulina cristata, but in our experience it seems distinct. Of course, molecular data would help clarify this situation.
