Hypholoma

Hypholoma is a genus of small to medium sized saprophytic mushrooms. In the past, Naematoloma (or Nematoloma) was used as a name for this genus.
Principle characteristics of the genus Hypholoma:
- Spore print dark brown, dark redish-brown, purple-brown, dark grey-brown
- Chrysocystidia present
- Spores smooth, with an apical pore
- Annulus typcially absent, sometimes a cortina
