The last time Dr. Thiers visited California was for the NAMA (North American Mycological Association) annual meeting in 1998. NAMA '98 was the "Dr. Harry D. Thiers NAMA Foray". The event was held February 13-16, 1998 at Asilomar, California on the Monterey peninsula.
