Leucocoprinus brebissonii
Bull. mens. Soc. linn. Lyon 12: 95. 1943.
Common Name: none
For description see Knudsen & Vesterholt (2008), Siegel & Schwarz and 'California Mushrooms'.
Solitary to scattered in grassy areas under conifers; uncommon south of the far north coast, fruiting in fall in coastal forests.
Unknown.
Leucocoprinus brebissonii can be distinguished by its mostly white cap with dark gray disc and granulose scales, a sulcate margin, white to pinkish white stipe with an ephemeral annulus, and tissues that do not bruise red. Leucocoprinus cepistipes is similar in stature, but the cap disc is cream to buff-brown and fruitbodies usually grow in small, subcespitose clusters.
